Christ Church Forest Hill, Rock Spring Parish, an Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Maryland, welcomes everyone to come and share in the worship of Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. At Christ Church we embrace the second most important commandment that Christ instituted – to love our neighbors as ourselves. Christ Church Forest Hill has been serving Harford County since its founding in 1805. We are known by many in the Forest Hill neighborhood as “The Church With The Chimes,” which toll the Time on the quarter-hour, and play Hymns at selected hours of the day. We host several 12-Step Meetings each week, an Aerobics Class, and Jazzercise! We are also know for our legendary Church Suppers and Annual Yard Sale.
Our Sunday Mornings begin with Music at 9:45AM, followed by The Holy Eucharist at 10:00AM in the Church. Except in Lent, our Sunday service is Holy Eucharist Rite II. During Lent we use Rite I. After Church there is a Fellowship Hour in the Parish House. We also Live Stream our Sunday Services most Sundays. These Live Stream Services can be found on our Face Book page, or here on our Live Stream Services tab We post a Bulletin on this website each Sunday, so if you are following the service at home you will have all the lessons, liturgy and hymns which you may download to the device of your choice, or print out. You may also choose to follow along in the Book of Common Prayer 1979 and the Hymnal 1982 (we sometimes sing hymns not in the hymnal, but for which the words are printed in the available Bulletin). If you would like an electronic-digital copy of The Book of Common Prayer you can download that for free from Church Publishing here. From time to time other liturgies are used depending on the season of the Church Year, special Sundays, etc.
